About the Game
Fake Snake is a planning puzzle game built around a single, deceptively simple constraint: one movement sequence controls every snake on screen. You don't steer each snake individually — you plan a route, commit to it, and all snakes execute the same steps in their own environments simultaneously.
The twist is that each board is different. Walls, food, obstacles, and exits are placed in different positions across boards. A move that's perfectly safe on one board might walk another snake straight into a wall. You have to find the single sequence that works everywhere at once.
Puzzles introduce board rotations — boards that turn 90° mid-sequence, changing the meaning of "up" and "left" relative to the board's new orientation. This forces you to reason about directions in relation to a rotating frame rather than absolute screen coordinates.
Focus Moves add the only exception to the shared-input rule: a limited special action that applies a move to just one snake. Used wisely, they unlock solutions that would otherwise be impossible.
Each puzzle teaches something new or asks you to apply a familiar idea in an unexpected context. Optional 3-star challenges reward optimal solutions for players who want to go deeper.
The game includes a full level editor so players can design, test, and share their own puzzles. Steam Workshop support is planned post-launch.
